Welcome to Storybook Gardens

Storybook Gardens’ 250-metre, 10,000 square foot outdoor skating trail winds through the beautiful park grounds, offering a unique skating experience in the city. Please find registration, admission and weekly schedules below.

Registration and Admission

Registration will be available starting Friday, November 30 through Play Your Way online. Drop-in admission is also available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Private skating trail facility rentals are also available. Please contact recreation@london.ca or 519-661-5575 for more information.

Admission is $4.50 for adults and $3.50 for those ages 17 and under. Skate rentals are available for $6.50 per person.

Unlimited skating trail passes, giving you access to the trail all winter long, are also available for $39.00 per person. Create a PlayYourWay account to purchase this membership.

Please note: All guests 5 years and under are required to wear a CSA approved helmet on the ice (not available for rent at Storybook Gardens). All sturdy strollers are allowed on the skating trail. Umbrella/collapsible strollers are not permitted

Weekly Schedule

The skating trail will be open during the scheduled timeslots below starting Saturday, December 3.

  • Tuesday to Thursday: 2 to 3:45 p.m., 4 to 5:45 p.m., 6:15 to 8 p.m.
  • Friday: 2 to 3:45 p.m., 4 to 5:45 p.m.,
  • Saturday: 9:30 to 11:15 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., 2 to 3:45 p.m., 4 to 5:45 p.m., 6:15 to 8 p.m.
  • Sunday: 9:30 to 11:15 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., 2 to 3:45 p.m., 4 to 5:45 p.m.

Skate trail timeslots will be visible online on Play Your Way online on Friday, November 25, with registration opening on Wednesday, November 30 at 8:30 a.m. Registration for January timeslots will open on Friday, December 16 at 8:30 a.m. Registration for February timeslots will open on Friday, January 20 at 8:30 a.m. Registration for March timeslots will open on Friday, February 17 at 8:30 a.m.

Private Rentals

Private skating trail facility rentals are also available on Fridays, and Sundays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Please contact recreation@london.ca or 519-661-5575 for more information.

Beavertails Concession Stand

Storybook Gardens will be serving Beavertails pastries, poutine, fries, hot chocolate, hot apple cider and Pepsi products at its concession stand, open on evenings and weekends.

Storybook will re-open classic rides and attractions next spring. During December-March Storybook offers outdoor winter skating in the park.

We are looking to hire 75 staff this spring! Attend one of our job fairs or view jobs on the City of London website to learn more!

Storybook History

The wonderful world of Storybook Gardens opened in London’s west end in 1958 and has been enchanting visitors with rides and attractions themed around popular fairytales and nursery rhymes ever since. Inside the park, a village of imagination awaits. So come on by and experience all that Storybook Gardens has to offer!
